I’m a Counseling Psychologist with a master’s degree in clinical psychology. I recently completed a UNESCO-CID-certified expressive art therapy course. Currently working as a Counseling Psychologist, I’m also a Trainee in expressive art therapy. My expertise lies in child psychology, with a focus on neurodevelopmental disorders. I’m passionate about counseling parents on effective child management. Additionally, I have extensive experience in organizing various events. My professional philosophy is centered around “small steps every day,” committed to facilitating mental health through integrative counseling.
Shinu’s journey with expressive arts started with dance—a personal exploration blending beats, music, and movement. It evolved into a freelancing choreography startup, inspiring others to dance to their rhythm. Witnessing transformative moments led her to explore dance movement therapy and engage in expressive art therapy. As a psychologist, she incorporates music, drama, art, and craft into sessions for adolescents and adults, fostering personal growth.

I am a counselling psychologist with a master’s in clinical psychology. I have also completed a UNESCO CID training in creative dance movement and certification in expressive art therapy.
I believe art has the power to heal and provide a different insight to individuals. Expressing through the medium of art, music, dance and drama can be a transformative journey for a lot of people. I believe in an eclectic approach to therapy and my goal is to create a nurturing and fostering environment for my clients to heal and grow.
As a mental health professional, I believe active listening and communication are the foundation to a therapeutic relationship. According to me empathy and a judgement free space plays a key role in the therapeutic alliance. I have worked with children and young adults with concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to relationships issues and parental issues.
As an expressive art therapist I want to make a safe space for my clients where there is a collaborative relationship between us so that they can explore themselves.
